Amazon , Microsoft, among top recruiters in IIM-C laterals

Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C) has received a total of 116 job offers from 54 companies during the lateral placement process at the campus, a placement coordinator from IIM-C, who did not wish to be named, told ET. This includes five international offers from IT services giant Infosys.

IITs to have common placement structure

Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are mulling a semi-formal structure comprising placement heads across all IITs to help coordinate and collate all placement-related activities. IIT placement heads across all IITs met at IIT-Bombay (IIT-B) on Friday to discuss placement-related experiences for this season.

Placement war begins

International investment banks and global strategy consulting firms kick-started the final placement process for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management batch of 2010-12 at the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad on Monday. Among the firms that recruited graduates, Boston Consulting Group made the maximum number of offers by hiring 17 students from among the first cluster of placements that took place.
